WELCOME
Enjoy peace and tranquility on the shores of Lake Mutirikwi (formerly Lake Kyle) in a relaxing quiet environment.

Romelda Lakeside Retreat is located on the foothills of the Glenlivet mountain range, which borders the lake between two rivers, Mutirikwi and Popoteke. The lodge allows families, groups, and couples to enjoy Zimbabwe's best-kept secrets being a short drive from the Great Zimbabwe Ruins, Kyle Recreational Park, and other historical and cultural landmarks within the area.

Built with comfort and practicality in mind, the tents each face the open and vast views over the lake, with unimpeded views of the spectacular sunsets.
THE TENTS
In line with the intimate style of the lodge, Romelda Lakeside Retreat has 6 tents - each furnished with en-suite bathrooms and private verandahs overlooking the lake. Made up of four standard tents, a family tent, and our version of Romelda romance - Popoteke tent.

-
Standard Tents each have a double bed with a day bed that can be converted to a single bed for children under 12 years old.
-
The Family Tent has a double bed and 2 single beds, located closest to the lodge's Main Area for ease of access for children.
-
Popoteke Tent, for a little extra Romelda romance, is located on its own private peninsula - with a queen bed, outside shower, and bathtub.

Romelda also offers a sole-use self-catering option for those who would still like to book the entire lodge as it was for the last 2 years.
